Interior Envy: Sarah Bartholomew Southern Living Idea House
I’ve been dying to see the Southern Living Idea House after seeing lots of sneak peeks and it finally debuted this week! The house was designed by Sarah Bartholomew and I was immediately obsessed. I love her work (her room at Kips Bay is still a favorite) and the amount of layers and details that she puts into her spaces.
There are so many amazing details to get lost in! The painted floors, detailed chair slipcovers, layered patterns, chocolate grasscloth walls, wicker bathtub (!)—I love how it all comes together to create such a warm and inviting interior. I keep looking through the photos and finding new things each time.
I was also so excited to see vendors and pieces I love featured in the home. I’m hoping to commission a botanical painting from Mia Carameros (featured above the fireplace) for our home one day. The Penny Morrison ‘Kalindi’ floral fabric in the main bedroom is another favorite of mine, which I would love to use somewhere in our house.
