I’m excited to start a new Q+A series here! I asked on Instagram for any questions you might have and was excited by your questions! Kicking it off with some of the most frequently asked questions…

What will you miss the most about NYC?

Besides our friends and family, I am definitely going to miss the architecture & history of the city. With all the extra time at home the last five months, I really loved our daily walks through the city admiring all of the old buildings and details. I’m also going to miss being able to walk everywhere! It’s been so long since we’ve had a car and the idea of having to drive a lot feels really foreign. We’re hoping to end up in a neighborhood that is walkable, so we can go get coffee or dinner without always having to drive.

what are you most excited about in LA?

The weather! I know it’s a cliché, but I’m truly so excited for all the sunshine and natural light. I’m also super excited to find our new home and start the decorating process!

what area of LA are you considering living in?

We really really love the west side of LA and it’s definitely our top choice. That being said, we are keeping our options super open during our search and looking all over!

HOW DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS? DO YOU USE YOUR IPHONE OR A CAMERA?

I use my iPhone 11 Pro for 98% of the photos you see on my instagram and blog. I used to have a DSLR camera, but I never used it because it was so heavy and annoying to lug around. Last year my dad got me a film camera (Canon AE-1) and I love using it, especially when we are traveling! I want to get another digital camera and am starting to research smaller models that are easier to carry around with me.

For editing, I mostly edit in VSCO with a few favorite filters (M5, A6, S2) depending on the image. I often open up the exposure a little bit, add contrast, some warmth and sometimes a little grain. I’ve recently started editing more photos in Adobe Lightroom too and it’s been fun creating my own presets.

FAVORITE Place you’ve ever traveled?

Hands-down, Italy! We went to Italy for our honeymoon two years ago and absolutely loved every part of it. (You can see my posts about our trip here: Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Amalfi Coast.) I can’t wait to go back—I’d head straight for Hotel Il Pelicano!

IF YOU COULD WEAR ONE OUTFIT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE…

Jeans and a white top! I am in some version of this the majority of the time and forsee this look becoming even more frequent now that I’m in LA. These are by far my favorite jeans, which are like the most perfect pair of vintage jeans without the hunt. I also recently got a pair of Goldsign jeans and am quite obsessed with them—the fit is incredible! Here they are in a lighter wash.

Lately, I’ve been living in this linen tee and this linen shirt. And you know I live for a fun white top like this or this!
