Interior Envy: Alex Boudreau

I’m so excited to feature this home because it belongs to one of my good friends, Alex Boudreau, who I met during my interior design internship a couple years ago. She was working on this project at the time and I was in love with every single detail and so impressed by the undertaking. The home was featured in the most recent issue of Domino and I wanted to share it here with you all as well!

Tasked with building a vacation home for her family, Alex designed and decorated their home in Todos Santos, Mexico, without the help of an architect. The resulting casa is airy and light, while remaining true to the architecture and materials of the region. Alex worked with numerous local artisans to create special elements throughout the house—including the tile floors, squiggly iron bannisters and kitchen glassware.

I love all of the details throughout—the textures and layers of color & pattern are so well-done and don’t feel overpowering. I’m counting down the days until I can finally visit in person!
