2020 Favorites
Instead of doing my typical monthly favorites for December, I thought it would be fun to do a round up of my favorite pieces from 2020! These are all new discoveries from this year and are things I wear or use constantly…
EVERLANE ‘90S CHEEKY JEANS
These jeans are hands down my most worn item! I discovered them at the beginning of the year and have worn them constantly! Even now that I have unpacked all my other jeans, it is still this pair I reach for. They feel like the perfect vintage pair—the medium blue wash goes with everything and I love the just-above-the-ankle length. I find them to be true to size—I wear a size 25.
JENNI KAYNE CASHMERE COCOON CARDIGAN
I’m sure you’re sick of hearing about this sweater, but it is truly the perfect cardigan! It’s so luxe and cozy feeling and the shape is perfection. You can easily wear it over tops or even on its own all buttoned up. It’s definitely an investment, but it is such high quality and will last you a very long time—and the silhouette is so classic. While I am an ambassador for Jenni Kayne, this is one of their pieces I bought myself—and I currently have two of the other colors in my cart! I wear a size XS in it. WESTMAN ATELIER EYE LOVE YOU MASCARA
I started using this mascara over the summer and it remains my favorite to use each day. Gucci is a well-known makeup artist and wanted to create a line of high-performing makeup with active skincare ingredients and safe formulas. Her products are pricey, but they are made with super clean ingredients and are really great products. I absolutely love the mascara—the formula goes on so smoothly and the brush is so soft. The formula has conditioning ingredients and makes your lashes feel really healthy, while giving you volume and definition. P.S. I love following Gucci for her makeup tutorials and her amazing style!
KATE MCLEOD DAILY STONE MOISTURIZER
This is another product I’ve mentioned a ton of times this year—I love it so much I gave it as gifts to a bunch of people this holiday! It is an innovative solid moisturizer that instantly softens as you rub it on your skin. It’s very moisturizing, but not sticky at all and I love that there is no waste involved. You can keep the bamboo canister it comes in and order refills of the stone itself.
ENTIREWORLD LOOP BACK SWEATSHIRT
I had been eyeing Entireworld’s sweats ever since I felt them in person last year. They frequently sell out quickly (especially during Covid) and I was excited to get my hands on the cream set and gray sweatshirt this year. The cut and fabric are perfection—they feel like the most perfect vintage sweats. Super cozy but still lightweight.
LULULEMON ALIGN 25” LEGGINGS
I surprised myself this year by adding a number of leggings to my closet! I previously only wore them for working out, but they proved to be a favorite for work-from-home attire. I tried a number of different ones this year and my favorites are the Lululemon Align 25” Leggings. I love how high rise they are and how buttery soft the fabric is. I’ve been wearing them constantly since I got them a month ago. My second favorite are the Everlane Perform Leggings—less expensive, but the material is a bit stiffer than the Lululemon ones.
SLIP SILK SLIM SCRUNCHIES
I bought these earlier this year after losing my favorite scrunchies in our move. They’re so comfortable and I don’t mind wearing them on my wrist because they look so nice and polished.
KOSAS LIP FUEL
Hands down my favorite lip balm! It’s got hyaluronic acid, which makes it super hydrating and moisturizing. I actually finish this and have repurchased a couple times—feels like a big victory when you finish a lip balm instead of losing it, ha!
JENNI KAYNE BASIC TEE
This Jenni Kayne Basic Tee is a forever favorite—I have it in both white and cream (a hard color to find!). It fits so nicely and holds up really well during washing and the neck always lays flat—I hate when the necklines on t-shirts get all crooked and weird!
OTHERLAND CANDLE IN RATTAN
A friend introduced me to Otherland earlier this year and I quickly became obsessed with their candles. Their candles are less than $40 and you can build a 3-pack to save a little bit more. Rattan is my favorite scent of theirs, followed quickly by Chandalier. Their scents feel really unique and are not too overpowering. I also love that their candles are clean & toxic-free. No parabens, phthalates, sulfates or artificial dyes.
