McQueen Savage Beauty

This past weekend, I woke up at 6 AM on Saturday and met my mom to see the McQueen exhibit at the Met before it closed for good. I had been meaning to go to it, but time slipped away. Luckily, we didn't have to wait in the 5+ hour lines because we went so early - we were able to make it into the exhibit in 45 minutes. I don't quite have the words for how incredible this exhibit was, so I'll let these photos speak for themselves. It was an amazing experience to see fashion of this caliber up close. Everything was tailored to perfection - the amount of work put into each piece was insane and showed immensely. After the exhibit, I purchased both the book and a miniature version of McQueen's famous armadillo shoe (I couldn't resist). I hope you enjoy these excerpts from the book.
